So our Fox affiliate takes one bigot, interviews him and tries to turn this into a “news” story. Similar billboards have been up on the New Jersey Turnpike for months if not years. I’m sure I’ve seen billboards for Churches as well.
You can find out more about “Why Islam?” by going to their website or calling 877-WHY-ISLAM
UPDATE: Whole Foods has said via their Twitter account that the promotion is still on and it has not been cancelled. They do point out the mistake of one of their regions.
Hi everyone…..we’d like to address the many comments coming in regarding the promotion of halal products for the celebration of Ramadan. We are still carrying and promoting halal products for those that are celebrating Ramadan this month. We never sent a communication from our headquarters requesting stores take down signs or remove parts from this promotion. We have 12 different operating regions and unfortunately, one region reacted by sending out directions to promote halal and not specifically Ramadan after some negative online comments. We’re extremely excited about offering halal products products for our shoppers and we stand behind them AND our promotion of them.
Yet another Fox “mistake.” Seeing this float around on twitter. Hey Fox, why didn’t you try squeezing North Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan into that picture as well so you could spread more fear and ignorance.
UPDATE: Just saw a tweet from my brother that this picture is from 2009. It is still pretty stupid though. As always you can leave a comment here, reach me by e-mail or .
Can these idiots on the right get any dumber? Way too many ignorant people in the world. Can someone explain to these morons that that the global warming is part of a wider climate change problem that causes ridiculous weather patterns?
It is 2010…..these ignorant psychos act like it is 2010 B.C. Anger these idiots even more and buy “An Inconvenient Truth” on DVD or the book.

According to TMZ, Leno and NBC have struck a new deal. Guess this means I won’t be turning on NBC at 11:30. What a dumb move. Can’t believe NBC failed this miserably with the situation. Way to make a mockery of one of the greatest franchises in TV history. Way to pick the less funny guy for a 2nd time. What a disaster.
NBC will at best be the 4th option at 11:30 for me. Conan, Colbert and Letterman are all miles ahead. I’m not even counting the fact that if those guys are having off nights….I’ll put on ESPN instead. So….good riddance NBC.
P.S Can someone pass a memo to NBC saying that “Late Night” is supposed to be funny. Could they possibly pick two more more boring guys then Leno and Fallon?
Fans in the New York market will be torn Sunday Night. Because of the rain in New York Saturday night Game 6 of the American League Championship Series between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles of Anaheim has been postponed to Sunday night. At the same time Sunday Night Football will be on too with the New York Giants taking on the Arizone Cardinals. What will you be watching at around 8:30 Sunday night?
Football obviously is the bigger thing nationally and should win the ratings war for NBC over Fox’s MLB telecast. What happens is the New York market will be completely different. The Yankees/Angels game should crush the NFL game and destroy NBC’s ratings in the New York market. NBC 4 in New York even has a special edition of the Sunday sports show “Mike’d Up” planned but it will be a waste as baseball should crush football in New York rating wise.
People will most certainly blame Major League Baseball for scheduling a game at 8:20 PM eastern time on a Sunday night. What do people expect MLB to do here? Fox has a full slate of NFL games around the country including 3 starting at 4:15 PM. There is no way MLB would take the chance that one of those games goes into overtime leaving the start of a big baseball game like this off of TV. There is no way you can blame MLB or Fox here.
With that in mind thought, what will you be watching tomorrow night?
If you live around here you are fully aware that there is never a dull moment in Manhattan. Turns out this morning was no different. Watch this video courtesy of NY Mag.
Yes, that Pedicab driver acted like an idiot but that Taxi driver could’ve easily killed him. For anyone who’s ever driven to New York or any other major city….they are fully aware how awful cab drivers are. They are even worse in Manhattan. It doesn’t matter what time of day. These idiots just go where they want without looking out for traffic.
Here’s the beautiful part of this. The cameraman was probably there because Letterman’s Studios are right there otherwise this would have been missed.
I’d be interested to know in what ends up happening with this. Surely the cab driver will be charged too right?
Just woke up to the news that John Madden has decided to retire. It will really strange watching football next year without him. MSNBC looks back at the legendary career.
He’s had his share of critics over the years but to me he’s one of the first things that come to mind when you talk NFL. From his coaching days in Oakland, to his days teaming with Pat Summerall on CBS and Fox to Monday Night Football and then finally NBC’s Sunday Night Football. At 73 can’t really blame the man. After all he doesn’t fly anywhere as he’s afraid of flying and riding by RV sure has to get tiresome.
As for who takes his place in the NBC booth….Chris Collinsworth would be my guess. NBC has been grooming him for the gig for the past couple of years.
A potential bombshell has been dropped by EA audio director Aubrey Hodges. In an interview with Louis Bedigian of Gamezone, Hodges seems to suggest that John Madden may not be one of the game announcers in Madden 09.
I miss the days of Madden/Summerall and Madden/Micheals. I hate the “radio” voice that they have now. They need a broadcasting team in the game. I will be getting ’09 for 360….as long as its not the ESPN crew (as I don’t know how they’d work the 3 man team into the game) I don’t care who they get.
